Pedal Forward Bikes & Adventure was founded in September 2020 by Mike Broderick and Jorge Negrete with the vision of being the best bike shop in California and the Yosemite National Park area! In its third year of operation, Pedal Forward won the Fresno Bee People's Choice Award for Best Bike Shop in Central California based on its impeccable customer service, product offerings, and skilled bicycle repair and restoration services.

It all started when Mike and Jorge met at Tenaya Lodge on Mike’s first day as the new Director of Sales & Marketing at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. The two quickly became great friends, sharing their passion for riding the local trails and working at Tenaya Lodge. Although they loved their jobs at Tenaya Lodge, they often discussed how they could make a living related to their passion for mountain biking. As fate would have it, the COVID-19 pandemic left them furloughed from their positions at Tenaya Lodge. They realized there was an opportunity to open a bike shop in Oakhurst, California, while they waited to be called back to work at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite.

Mike Broderick, with his extensive experience in luxury resort sales and marketing, and Jorge Negrete, a former pilot in the Peruvian Air Force, bring a unique blend of skills and perspectives to Pedal Forward Bikes & Adventure.
