Bass Lake Graham Dome Ebike Guided Ride – Intermediate

Experience one of the most scenic and unique rides in the Bass Lake area on this guided adventure that follows the historic railroad grade used during the late 1800s logging era. The route winds through beautiful Sierra National Forest landscapes, offering a gentle and enjoyable climb along the old railroad bed where massive timber was once transported from the mountains to the sawmills below.

As we ride beneath towering pines and cedars, your guide will share stories of the region's rich logging history and the role the railroad played in shaping the Bass Lake area. The wide, gradual grade makes for a comfortable ride while providing stunning views of the surrounding forest and distant mountain ridges.

The highlight of the tour is the climb to a spectacular granite dome overlooking Bass Lake and the Sierra Nevada. Unlike many granite formations, this dome can be ridden all the way to the top, rewarding riders with breathtaking panoramic views of the lake, forests, and surrounding peaks. It's the perfect place to stop, take photos, enjoy the scenery, and experience one of the most iconic viewpoints in the region.

For riders seeking an extra challenge, there is also the option to incorporate sections of single-track mountain bike trails into the tour. Your guide can customize the ride to match the group's skill level and desired level of adventure.

Yes! We operate under a US Forest Service Special Use Permit for this part of Sierra National Forest. It took us 19 months of working with the forest service to earn our permit. We are the first bike shop in this area to be awarded a permit.

Our commitment to an amazing adventure!

Kids: children from age 7 to 12. Kids should be comfortable riding a bike for approximately 2 hours before going on a guided ride. Any person aged 13 or older is considered an adult.

Beginner: Beginners include anyone who doesn’t ride a mountain bike often, prefers to ride gravel roads or very gentle or paved paths and trails, and can be on the bike for an average of two hours.

Advanced Beginner: An advanced beginner rider has mountain biked several times on flat or very gentle hills and non-technical terrain.

Intermediate: Intermediate riders include anyone who rides a bike often, is relatively fit, is comfortable on singletrack dirt trails or steeper roads, and can be on the bike for up to four hours.

Advanced Intermediate: Advanced intermediate riders are comfortable riding for up to 6 hours. They are very comfortable climbing or descending on most singletrack trails and can ride some technical features.

Advanced/ Expert: Advanced riders ride mountain bikes often, can ride 50 to 100 miles per week, enjoy and seek out the single technical track, and are comfortable on bike rides for up to eight hours.

Yes! We can rent you a bike. We do offer a discount when you pay for a guided ride. The rental also includes a helmet.
