Bass Lake to Central Camp Ebike Ride – Beginner

Discover Bass Lake on a fun and family-friendly eBike adventure designed for riders of all experience levels. This guided tour begins near the shores of Bass Lake and follows a scenic forest road that parallels the lake.
Along the way, you'll visit several historic landmarks that tell the story of Bass Lake's rich past. Highlights include the iconic logging town of Wishon, Bass Lake Dam, and other points of interest that showcase the area's logging and recreational heritage. As you ride, enjoy beautiful views of the sparkling lake, towering pine forests, and the surrounding Sierra Nevada landscape.

The tour continues up Central Camp Road, a historic route that was once part of the railroad system used during the region's logging era. Thanks to the assistance of modern eBikes, the gradual climb is enjoyable for riders of all ages, allowing everyone to take in the scenery without feeling rushed.

At the top, we'll arrive at Bass Lake View, one of the area's most scenic overlooks. With panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains, it's the perfect place to relax, enjoy a picnic, take photos, and soak in the beauty of the Sierra National Forest.

After the break, the adventure becomes even more enjoyable as the remainder of the ride is primarily downhill, allowing you to cruise comfortably back toward the lake while enjoying the fresh mountain air and spectacular scenery. This tour offers the perfect combination of history, nature, family fun, and effortless exploration of one of California's most beautiful mountain destinations. Round trip 20 miles

Yes! We operate under a US Forest Service Special Use Permit for this part of Sierra National Forest. It took us 19 months of working with the forest service to earn our permit. We are the first bike shop in this area to be awarded a permit.

Our commitment to an amazing adventure!

Kids: children from age 7 to 12. Kids should be comfortable riding a bike for approximately 2 hours before going on a guided ride. Any person aged 13 or older is considered an adult.

Beginner: Beginners include anyone who doesn’t ride a mountain bike often, prefers to ride gravel roads or very gentle or paved paths and trails, and can be on the bike for an average of two hours.

Advanced Beginner: An advanced beginner rider has mountain biked several times on flat or very gentle hills and non-technical terrain.

Intermediate: Intermediate riders include anyone who rides a bike often, is relatively fit, is comfortable on singletrack dirt trails or steeper roads, and can be on the bike for up to four hours.

Advanced Intermediate: Advanced intermediate riders are comfortable riding for up to 6 hours. They are very comfortable climbing or descending on most singletrack trails and can ride some technical features.

Advanced/ Expert: Advanced riders ride mountain bikes often, can ride 50 to 100 miles per week, enjoy and seek out the single technical track, and are comfortable on bike rides for up to eight hours.

Yes! We can rent you a bike. We do offer a discount when you pay for a guided ride. The rental also includes a helmet.

Full refund for reservations canceled at least 72 hours before scheduled hikes. We do not offer refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of scheduled hikes.
