The terrain features steep granite slabs, technical rock features, challenging climbs, and thrilling descents that demand strong bike-handling skills and confidence on exposed rock.

Rider Requirements
This is an advanced-level tour intended for riders with previous mountain biking experience. Participants should be comfortable riding steep terrain, technical singletrack, loose rock, and exposed granite surfaces.

Yes! We operate under a US Forest Service Special Use Permit for this part of Sierra National Forest. It took us 19 months of working with the forest service to earn our permit. We are the first bike shop in this area to be awarded a permit.

Our commitment to an amazing adventure!

Kids: children from age 7 to 12. Kids should be comfortable riding a bike for approximately 2 hours before going on a guided ride. Any person aged 13 or older is considered an adult.

Beginner: Beginners include anyone who doesn’t ride a mountain bike often, prefers to ride gravel roads or very gentle or paved paths and trails, and can be on the bike for an average of two hours.

Advanced Beginner: An advanced beginner rider has mountain biked several times on flat or very gentle hills and non-technical terrain.

Intermediate: Intermediate riders include anyone who rides a bike often, is relatively fit, is comfortable on singletrack dirt trails or steeper roads, and can be on the bike for up to four hours.

Advanced Intermediate: Advanced intermediate riders are comfortable riding for up to 6 hours. They are very comfortable climbing or descending on most singletrack trails and can ride some technical features.

Advanced/ Expert: Advanced riders ride mountain bikes often, can ride 50 to 100 miles per week, enjoy and seek out the single technical track, and are comfortable on bike rides for up to eight hours.

Yes! We can rent you a bike. We do offer a discount when you pay for a guided ride. The rental also includes a helmet.

Full refund for reservations canceled at least 72 hours before scheduled hikes. We do not offer refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of scheduled hikes.
